the function output 1 of a WD-GW2 decoder by the function key F2 of the TCCS- address of a cou-
pled locomotive.
First the carriage is prepared unique for the fact that the output 1 is controlled only manual, so not
through the automatic of the train fuse light. After that this output is assigned to the key F2.

Output 1 of a WD-GWx decoder is con-
trolled by bit 7.
Output 2 is controlled by bit 6.
See the allocation table between the out-
puts and the bits in the CV 160 to CV 168
in the appendix of the decoder manual.

For all outputs the controlling bit must be
calculated according to point 3.
Output 1: Bit 7 = 0 (no automatic func-
tion)
Output 2: Bit 6 = 1 (automatic function(
all other bits are without function
Switch off the automatic control of the
function outputs coupled with the tail light
function and switch over to manual opera-
tion.

Calculate programming value:
1 x 2^7 + 0 x 2^6 = 128 + 0 = 128
When required the conversion table in the
appendix of the manual can help.

Couple the locomotive with the carriage to
be programmed and transmit the following
POM sequence:
locomotive address / CV 179 / value 128
locomotive address / CV 178 / value 160
First the value of the CV is programmed in
the locomotive decoder, then the destina-
tion, the CV number in the WD-GWx is
mentioned.

The outputs which should be controlled by
the function key F2 are defined over the
CV 162.
After this preparation the output 1 is not used any more automatically by the light control of the
locomotive. The output can be controlled now by means of F2 of the TCCS address.
