Component Descriptions
Wrist Computer
Detaches from scanner and provides for minimum breakaway force as safety feature.
Controls scanner (e.g., laser power on, visual feedback, scanner connectivity), receives data
from scanner, and transmits data via batch or radio communications. Includes interconnect
cable.
Wrist Mount
Worn on wrist or forearm of either arm. Detaches from wrist computer, which can then be
used by other operators wearing their own wrist mounts.
RS 1 Ring Scanner
Miniature laser bar code scanner, with trigger on thumb side of mount. Visual feedback for
operator is provided through a 2-color LED on the back of the ring scanner.
