SE 2223/3223 Scan Engine Integration Guide

Linear Code Type Security Level

Parameter # 4Eh

Note:

Does not apply to Code 128.

The SE 2223/3223 offers four levels of decode security for linear code types (e.g., Code
39, Interleaved 2 of 5). Higher security levels are selected for decreasing levels of bar code
quality. As security levels increase, the scanner’s aggressiveness decreases.

Select the security level appropriate for your bar code quality.
