Mobile 2003 Software for Pocket PCs Product Reference Guide

Adding a Program from the Internet

1.

On the terminal, tap Start - Settings - System tab - About. In the Version tab, note
the information in Processor.

2.

Download the program to your terminal from the Internet using Pocket Internet
Explorer. You may see a single *.xip, *.exe, *.zip file, or a Setup.exe file.

3.

Read any installation instructions, Read Me files, or documentation that comes with
the program. Many programs provide special installation instructions.

4.

Tap the file, such as a *.xip or *.exe file, to launch the installation wizard. Follow the
directions on the screen.

Adding a Program to the Start Menu

Tap Start - Settings - Menus - Start Menu tab, then the check box for the program.

If you do not see the program listed, either use File Explorer to move the program to the
Start Menu folder or use ActiveSync on the host computer to create a shortcut to the
program and place the shortcut in the Start Menu folder.

Using File Explorer to Add to the Start Menu
