Programming the Scanner

Intercharacter Delay

Note: This parameter is available only on the P 300FZY.

Select the intercharacter delay option matching host requirements. The intercharacter delay
gives the host system time to service its receiver and perform other tasks between characters.
The delay period can range from no delay to 99 msec in 1-msec increments. After scanning
the bar code below, scan two bar codes beginning on page

to set the desired time-out.

If you make an error or wish to change your selection, scan CANCEL on page

.

Intercharacter Delay

Convert Control Characters

When enabled, this parameter converts special control character sequences to their
corresponding keycodes. It converts the <CTRL> M, <CTRL> I, and <CTRL> [ sequences to
<Enter>, <Tab>, <Backspace>, and <Esc> respectively.

Note: This parameter is available on the P 300FZY only.
