Remote Endpoint panel
Note: This topic includes instructions for the New Remote Endpoint and Create a Remote End Group
panels
In the Remote Endpoint panel, you select the network entity to serve as the remote endpoint of the
gateway-to-gateway tunnel.
If you select to create a new network entity to serve as the remote endpoint, depending on your choice,
a wizard panel is displayed to help you define a new host, subnet, or group network entity.

Create new security
gateway network
entity Lets you create a new security gateway network entity by defining the following:
■
Gateway name
A unique name for the new security gateway network entity.
The maximum length is 256 characters.
Allowed characters are a-z, A-Z, numerals, periods (.), and dashes (-).
Do not include spaces in the name. The characters @, !, #, $, %,
^
, &, *, <, >, and other
reserved characters are also invalid.

Address type
Specifies the address type, either IP address or Host name.
■
IP address
The IP address or fully-qualified domain name of the new security gateway network
entity.
■
Authentication method
Certificate—requires the Client VPN user to authenticate using an Entrust certificate.
Shared secret—requires the Client VPN user to authenticate using the shared secret
that you specify.
