After calibration measurement stop, the
Calibration Result
and the
Calibration Factor
(difference between the
Calibration Level
and the
Calibration Result
, calculated in dB) is displayed.
6. Press
<Enter>
to save the new calibration factor or press
<ESC>
to reject
it. In both cases the instrument exits the
Calibration
screen.
7. Detach the transducer from the vibration calibrator or the sound calibrator
from the microphone.
It is recommended to repeat the calibration measurement few times. Obtained results should be almost the
same (with
0.1 dB difference). Reasons for unstable results are as follows:
•
the accelerometer is not properly attached to the vibration calibrator or sound calibrator is not properly
attached to the microphone,
•
there are external acoustic or vibration disturbances,
•
the calibrator or the measurement channel (
accelerometer, microphone or the instrument itself
)
are damaged.
Note: During the calibration measurement, the external disturbances (acoustic noise or vibrations)
should not exceed a value of 100 dB (when using a calibrator that generates a level of 114 dB).
Note: To quit the calibration procedure without saving the calibration factor, press <ESC>.
4.3.1.3
History of performed calibrations
– Calibration History
The
Calibration History
position opens the
Cal. History
list, which displays up to ten last
calibration records for the selected channel.
To review the calibration record, use the

key. The record contains date and time of the
performed calibration measurement, the way the
calibration
was
done
(
By Sensitivity
or
By Measurement
) and the obtained calibration
factor (
Calibration Factor
).
<ENT>
If calibration measurements were not performed the
Cal. History
list does not
contain any records. The content of this list is cleared after the
Factory Settings
command.
4.3.2 Selecting standard and additional measurements
– Application
The
Application
section allows to select the
Building Vibration Standard, measurement
range,
measurement
band
and
activate
additional
Human
Vibration
and
Sound
measurements.
