FUEL SYSTEM AND THROTTLE BODY 5-9

FUEL PUMP REASSEMBLY AND
INSTALLATION

Reassembly and install the fuel pump in the reverse order of
removal and disassembly. Pay attention to the following points:

• Install the fuel pressure regulator.



• Apply thin coat of engine oil to the O-rings.



• Apply grease to the O-ring

and install it.





99000-25010: SUZUKI SUPER GREASE “A”

or equivalent

• When installing the fuel pump assembly, first tighten all the

fuel pump mounting bolts lightly and then to the specified
torque, in the ascending order of numbers.



Fuel pump mounting bolt: 10 N·m (1.0 kgf-m, 7.0 lbf-ft)

Normally, the removed O-ring must be replaced with a
new one. However, this O-ring

is not available for

the spare parts. If it is found to be damaged, replace
the fuel pressure regulator with new one.

Use new O-rings to prevent fuel leakage.

The O-ring must be replaced with a new one to prevent
fuel leakage.
