ENGINE     3-67

• Install the generator cover 

2

 and tighten the generator cover

bolts to the specified torque.

Generator cover bolt (M6): 11 N·m (1.1 kgf-m, 8.0 lbf-ft)
Generator cover bolt (M5): 6 N·m (0.6 kgf-m, 4.5 lbf-ft)

NEUTRAL SWITCH

• Install the springs 

1

 and switch contacts 

2

.

• Apply grease to the O-ring 

3

 and install it.

99000-25010: SUZUKI SUPER GREASE “A”

or equivalent

• Install the neutral switch 

4

.

PISTON RING

• Install the piston rings in the order of oil ring, 2nd ring and 1st

ring.

• To install the oil ring, fit the spacer 

1

 first and then the side

rails 

2

.

Replace the O-ring with a new one.

* Do not remove the wire 

3

 from the spacer 

1

.

* When installing the piston rings, be careful not to

damage the piston.

* Do not expand the piston ring excessively since it is

apt to be broken down.
