Rear Suspension:  2C-3

Rear Shock Absorber Removal and Installation

B933H22306003

Removal

1) Remove the cushion rod and cushion lever. Refer to 

“Cushion Rod / Cushion Lever Removal and 
Installation (Page 2C-7)”.

2) Remove the rear shock absorber lower mounting 

bold and nut (1).

3) Remove the rear shock absorber upper mounting 

bolt and nut (2).

4) Remove the rear shock absorber.

Installation

1) Apply thread lock to the rear shock absorber 

mounting bolts and tighten the nuts to the specified 
torque.

:  Thread lock cement 99000–32110 

(THREAD LOCK CEMENT SUPER 1322 or 
equivalent)

Tightening torque
Rear shock absorber mounting nut (a):  60 N·m (
6.0 kgf-m, 43.5 lb-ft)

2) Install the cushion rod and cushion lever. Refer to 

“Cushion Rod / Cushion Lever Removal and 
Installation (Page 2C-7)”.
