HOW TO USE
Installing a Battery
Open the battery lid located on the power module.
Insert the dry cell battery (AA / R6P: available sepa-
rately) observing polarity (+/-). Close the battery lid.
Do not use rechargeable batteries. They do not perform
well due to insuffi
cient voltage.
Set the power module switch to “
”.
Set the switch to the “OFF” position when the per-
formance ends.
Using with phantom power
Th
e battery is not required if your audio equipment
has a phantom power supply.
When a Phantom Power supply is connected, the unit
is ON regardless of the Power Switch position.
Attach the Power Module
Attach the power module using included belt-clip
onto a belt or other suitable location on your clothing.
Use a pocket if clothing does not have a belt.
Hook-Up
Connect the microphone to the “mini-XLR” jack on
the power module and suitable microphone cable
(XLR type: available separately) into the standard
“XLR” jack.
Both plugs have a lock function. Press the button to
unlock and remove the cable.
Using the "Eyeball" holder
Th
e HMH-100 is most eff ective when used with the
“Eyeball” holder due to the close proximity of the mi-
crophone to the Harmonica.
Ⓐ
Bring the cable to the back of the hand
Using the “Eyeball” holder in this way will obtain
good playability. It is advantageous to pass through
the sleeve. See illustration above.
Ⓑ
Bring the cable to the front of the hand
Alternatively you may pass the cable in front of your
hand. Refer to the illustration above.
Ensure the cable is handled gently, do not pull or bend
the cable.
Ⓒ
With the hook and loop fastener
Th
e “Eyeball” holder can be used with the included
hook and loop fastener thus avoiding accidental drop-
ping of the microphone because the hook and loop
fastener is attached to the operators fi nger.
