From the side of the car, pass the strap through the open loop of the V

Rack, around the crossbar,
and back through the open loop of the V

Rack. (Fig. 8)

Depress the camlock lever on the buckle and thread the end of the strap through the buckle from the
underside. (Fig. 9)

Ensure the fabric buckle protector sits against the watercraft then pull down on the free end of the
strap to tighten. It is easiest to tighten when the camlock lever is depressed. (Fig. 10)
