Motherboard Connections
This section describes the connections on the motherboard and provides pinout definitions.
Note that depending on how the system is configured, not all connections are required. The
LEDs on the motherboard are also described here. A motherboard layout indicating component

4.1 Power Connection
JHS1 is a proprietary power and front control panel connector. It connects as the compute
node slides into the system enclosure.
4.2 Headers and Connectors
Fan Headers
There are two 4-pin fan headers (FAN3, FAN4) on the motherboard. These connect as the
compute node slides into the system enclosure.
TPM Header
The JTPM1 header is used to connect a Trusted Platform Module (TPM)/Port 80, which
is available from Supermicro. A TPM/Port 80 connector is a security device that supports
encryption and authentication in hard drives. It allows the motherboard to deny access if the
TPM associated with the storage drive is not installed in the system. For more information
