Chapter 3: Maintenance and Component Installation

Installing or Removing Air Shroud

The  air  shroud  directs  airflow  to  maximize  cooling  efficiency  and  comes  pre-installed  with 

the system. In the rare event that the air shroud needs to be removed or installed follow the 
procedure below.

Installing or Removing Air Shroud

1. 

Remove power

 from the system.

2. Remove the 

chassis cover

.

3. 

To install the air shroud, place the air shroud in the chassis. The air shroud fits behind 

the two fans closest to the power supply. To remove the air shroud, lift the air shroud out 

of the chassis.
