4.2 Headers and Connectors
Fan Headers
The X11SDV-8C-TP8F has six 4-pin fan headers (FAN1 ~ FAN4, FANA, FANB). These
headers are backwards compatible with the traditional 3-pin fans. However, fan speed control
is available for 4-pin fans only by Thermal Management via the IPMI 2.0 interface. Refer to
the table below for pin definitions.

Secondary Power Connector
JPV1 must also be connected to the power supply. This connector is used to power the
process and provides alternative power for special enclosure when the 24-pin ATX power is
not in use.

Required Connection
HDD Power Connector
JPH1 is a 4-pin power connector for HDD use. It provides power from the motherboard to
the onboard HDD.

On the JD1 header, pins 1-4 are for the Power LED and pins 5-7 are for the buzzer.
