Use this procedure:
1. Press AUTO while in any ISDN-BRI menu screen and select

SUPPLEMENTARY SERVICE SCAN. See the left screen in
Figure 24.

2. Use SHIFT and the numeric keypad to enter a MSN (Multiple

Subscriber Address) at the indicated line. This is the number
tested for services. If the number is unknown, or testing the
MSN service is unnecessary, skip the setting.

3. Select the next line. AUTO ANSWER NUMBER is used to test

call waiting service; this number is used to occupy one of the
B-channels to verify call waiting. This call must be answered,
either manually or automatically to test call waiting.

4. Enter the DIAL NUMBER either via the SHIFT and numeric

keypad or via pressing F3 to access a SPEED DIAL stored list
screen. In the list press

to choose a number and press

F4 to select it and return to the DUAL BERT CALL screen. To
enter a number into the SPEED DIAL screen, see

Section 2.3.2-

. Press OWN NUM (F2) to automatically copy the

number from the DIRECTORY# configured in the ISDN - BRI
TEST CONFIGURATION screen. If available, use an automatic
call back number to avoid charges during the test.

5. When finished, press F4 to start the test. See the right screen

in Figure 24 for the results screen.

6. When the test is finished, “TEST COMPLETED” is displayed.
The following services are tested:
AOC-D/E/S: Advice of Charge determines what charging invoca-
tions are available; Duration, End, or Start (charged per a certain
amount of time at the beginning of the call).
