Use this for testing of the
physical layer, as well as
running a BERT. Three screens
are available.
These measurements are
independent of test pattern
and pattern synchronization.
The first screen, shown on the
right displayes elapsed time
and error count.

Figure 10 Summary Results Screen

The following F-keys are available in all result screens:
PAGE-UP (F1) and PAGE-DN (F2): Use to scroll through the
available screens.
STOP/START (F3): Use to stop the current measurement. Press
again to restart the test and reset all counters to zero.
When the test is stopped, the following F-key is available.
STORE (F4): Press to store the measurement results as a CSV
file. See

Section 2.6.

screen, it records all bit errors.
The measurements refer to
out of service testing with a
known test pattern. The test
set must have pattern sync to
measure bit errors; otherwise
it reports UAS.

The following is reported.
ET: Elapsed Time in Hours:Minutes:Seconds
RT: Remaining Time is Continuous in a untimed measurement.
RX: Received test pattern.
TX: Transmitted test pattern.
AS: Count of Available Seconds since the start of the test. A bit AS
is any bit error-free, bit errored, or bit severely errored second.
%AS: Percentage of Available Seconds since the start of the
test.
