HOW SOLAR LIGHTS WORK
During the day, the solar panel converts solar energy into electricity
and stores it in the rechargeable battery. At night, the light turns on
automatically via a light detecting sensor built into the unit. How long
the light illuminates will depend upon the location of the light, weather
conditions, and how much direct sunlight the unit is exposed to.
Ensure the power is switched to 'ON' while charging.
CHOOSING THE RIGHT LOCATION
Before installing your light in your desired location, you will need to consider the best place for the solar panel to receive
the most amount of daylight. There is a cable between the solar panel and the security light mount so it is essential
you do not position the solar panel too far away from where you want your light to go. When positioning the solar panel
always try to face it south while avoiding places where daylight is obstructed by buildings, fences, trees or the shadows
that these create. Once you have identified your solar panel location, install the security light and solar panel.
CONNECT
Mount the security light and solar panel, ensuring the cable can reach the light.
Connect the solar panel cable to the light and switch the power 'ON'.
T - Light Timing
This dial controls how long the light
will illuminate after motion is detected.
• Adjustable from approximately 15
seconds to approximately 4 minutes.
• Turning the dial clockwise increases
illumination time.
D - Light Sensitivity
This dial controls the level of darkness before
the lights turns on.
• Set to minimum, the sensor will only trigger
when it’s dark. This is the most ideal position
for general evening and night operation and
for conserving the battery.
• Set to maximum, the light will turn on in most
situations from dusk to daylight (all day).
CONTROL DIALS
Control dials are located on the bottom of the light sensor.
