Before Upgrading the Array
This hardware upgrade guide explains how to upgrade your StorageTek 6540 array
to either a Sun Storage 6580 array or a Sun Storage 6780 array. This upgrade
enhances your array’s capabilities, providing higher processing speeds, greater
bandwidth, and more host and drive expansion ports.
This guide is written for technicians, system administrators, authorized service
providers (ASPs), and users who have experience with the hardware.
Note –
Before using the procedures described in this document, you must have a
basic understanding of the array’s hardware terminology.
