COMPONENT DESCRIPTION
3.6.3 FLUID (OIL) COOLER
The fluid (oil) cooler is a two-pass, finned aluminum tube design. The fluid (oil) cooler allows transfer of
heat from the oil through the tube wall and into the fins. The heat is then removed by the airflow from the
electric-driven cooling fan. The cooling assembly is located over the drive motor and exhausts upward.
3.6.4 COOLING FAN AND MOTOR
The cooling fan and motor produce airflow through the fluid/air cooler to remove heat. The cooling fan is
an air-foil design which reduces fan noise compared to standard blade design. The fan is attached to the
motor shaft and located within the venturi. The motor is mounted to its support which properly locates the
assembly centered in the venturi.
3.6.5 FLUID (OIL) FILTER
The fluid (oil) filter removes particulate from the oil prior to entering the compressor unit. The fluid (oil) filter
is a dual full-flow, spin-on type element made of microglass media. It is mounted with the elements on top
so that any remaining fluid drains out at time of maintenance.

Inlet Air Filter
The air inlet and capacity control system utilizes electrical and pneumatic components to ensure the
compressor effectively produces compressed air to meet the demand of the customer’s process. This
control system is comprised of the inlet valve, control regulating valve, blow-down solenoid valve and line
pressure transducer
. Depending on air demand from the customer’s process, these control components
will cycle the compressor between five modes: start-up, full-load, modulation, unload and shutdown.
