Before all work on the machine, it must
first be disconnected from the power sup-
ply.
Only a qualified person familiar with the safety regulations
may start up the machine.
Always conduct test runs without workpieces.
Check the sense of rotation before starting the machine.
The operator must make sure that the components are
integrated and operate safely in the machine.
Only a qualified person may connect the electrical power
supplies in accordance with the local regulations.
The local grounding regulations must be observed and
implemented, and this implementation inspected.
Do not start the machine until the spindle has come to a
stop.
Use only suitable tools, and never modify tools for an ap-
plication they have not been designed for.
After transport, all electrical and mechanical connections
must be examined for damage and loosening, and any
remedial measures taken.
The machine’s working area must be unobstructed and
secured against unauthorized access.
Never allow the configuration to run without the roller
being fixed. Otherwise the inserted coiled springs could
be ejected.
The configuration of the inputs for the servo drive is to be
checked in line with the table in Chapter 2.2 and adjusted
if necessary before the machine is started for the first time.

djustIng the Belt posItIon
To ensure optimal concentricity of the grinding belt, set
the position of the grinding belt as follows:
Loosen four screws on both sides (1). Turn the nut to
move the grinding belt towards the tool (2). Turn the nut
to move the grinding belt away from the tool (3). Tighten
four screws again.

ontrol
The servo drive is delivered pre-configured and two
speeds are already stored in it. The GEM Drive Studio
software from Infranor is required for operating the servo
drive. This software, along with further information on the
installation and operation of the servo drive, can be found
at www.infranor.com.
