Fluidics Components
Multistream Valve
Analyzers equipped with a multistream valve are capable of sampling two, three, or four supply streams,
depending on the configuration of the Analyzer purchased.
Pressure Regulator
Ensures that the internal pressure of the Analyzer remains at 20 psig.
Zero Column
For a zero measurement to be made, the UPW sample must first pass through the zero column. The zero
column contains two types of ion-exchange resin. The first type is a mixed-bed resin that removes any ionic
contaminants in the sample. The second type is a boron-specific resin that removes any boric acid in the
sample.
Pressure Switch
Detects when there is little or no flow to the Analyzer.
Reagent Pump
Continuously pumps the reagent from the reagent reservoir through the reagent column to de-ionize it. It
also pumps the reagent to the injection valve and the injection loop.
Reagent Column
Contains a mixed-bed resin that de-ionizes the reagent.
Note: Data cabling, if required, must be installed by a qualified technician. Use
of a watertight cable bushing is required.
Note: The Boron Analyzer is intended for indoor use only. Avoid mounting the
Analyzer in direct sunlight as it may overheat the unit.
Note: Avoid installing the Analyzer where it may be subject to splashing fluids.
The fluids may enter the Analyzer through the cooling system openings,
causing damage.
