AUTO TOUCH PLUS DYNAMIC AUTOMATION

5.1 Basics

Since SW V4.2, the AutoTouchPlus dynamic automation (up to then used on

the larger Vista consoles only) was made available for Vista 5 M3 as well,

making it even more versatile.

Dongle

In order to activate the hardware keys described below, a dongle is required.

It is plugged into the

CUSTOM PANEL GPIO

socket at the rear of the desk (32-

fader version shown):

Vista 5 Dynamic Automation Dongle

System Start

Depending on the desired operating mode (static, i.e. snapshot automation,

or dynamic, i.e. with AutoTouchPlus dynamic automation), start the system

using one of the two GC screen icons.

Note

Static (snapshot) and dynamic automation cannot be used at the same time.

Virtual Vista

(

chapter 2.11

) is used for controlling the DSP core in parallel

with the desk, it always starts in the same mode – static or dynamic – as the

console was started in. In dynamic mode, however, operation is much more

convenient with the touch-sensitive desk controls. In dynamic mode, Virtual

Vista has a limited range of applications, such as entering and editing labels.
