For most common materials, cutting with a single universal cut-
off wheel is possible. If demands on cutting quality are
particularly high we recommend the use of cut-off wheels
designated for use with the specific material, eg 56UNI for
aluminium (Please refer to the Selection Guide in the Struers
Cut-off Wheels Brochure ).
Material-specific Cut-off Wheels
When using material-specific cut-off wheels the rotational speed
settings remain the same. However the recommended feed speed
settings change slightly, please refer to the graph below.
Each curve represents a series of cuts with a material-specific cut-
off wheel (name of Struers cut-off wheel in brackets).
