8  Maintenance and inspections

8.1

 

Special safety guidelines

CAUTION

Risk of accidents due to non-observance of the safety guidelines

There is a risk of accidents if the general safety guidelines are not observed.

► All safety guidelines must be observed, see section 2.

DANGER

Danger of accidents due to explosive atmosphere

In cases of improper use, or operation outside of specified requirements, explosion may be caused by
hot surfaces, static charge, and/or mechanical sparks.

► Assembly work may not be performed in an explosive atmosphere.

8.2

 

Measures for environmental protection

RECYCLING

Dispose of components according to the local guidelines properly and in an environmentally-friendly
way.

8.3

 

General points

The clutch is wear-free.
A Stromag-qualified service employee should be charged with replacing any spare parts when necessary as this
requires special tools and technical know-how.

The slip rings have to be inspected when the contact surface is damaged and before each installation of the
clutch. Bronze slip rings have to be precision turned and free from grooves.
