18 ON / OFF DEMAND SIGNAL FOR HEAT PUMP
There are two control methods to turn on / off the heat pump:
1.
Volt free open / close
– terminals M & H1.
2.
0-10v on temperature control
– terminals M (-) & H1 (+).
Both controls are wired back to the main heat pump controller to the same terminals. Below shows the location of
these two terminals on the main heat pump controller (RVS 21).
18.1
Volt Free Open / Close
This setup is designed for a volt free control system to be connected to terminals M & H1 which will turn on the heat
pump when this contact is closed, and therefore will turn off the heat pump when this contact is open.

ETPOINT
To set a fixed setpoint, parameters 740 & 741 will need to be set to the same temperature.
For example, to set a fixed setpoint of 45c:
Parameter

Description

0
45
Minimum Setpoint (modifiable by the user)

1
45
Maximum Setpoint (modifiable by the user)
With these two parameters set, once terminals M & H1 are closed, the heat pump will operate up to a flow
temperature of 45c at the buffer vessel.
