Connecting External Components to the System
2-10 Stratus ftServer V 6624 Hardware Installation Guide (R005S)
Perform the following procedure to connect the PC console to the ftServer system.
1. Use the Stratus-provided DB-9 female asynchronous null modem cable (marketing
ID B20253-25) (number 1 in Figure 2-6 ) to connect the COM 2 port on the ftServer
system to an available serial port on the PC console (number 2 in Figure 2-6 ).
N O T E
If the COM 1 port is not used for the RSN console server,
you can connect a PC to an available serial port and use
it as a login console.
