• Subsequently loosen the upper set screw (no. 5) and the lower set screw (no. 2)
for the cutting bow (no. 6); open this fully and then retighten the set screws (no. 2 and no. 5).
• Loosen the set screw (no. 7) of the bearing rail (no. 8), fold it out fully to the right and then retighten
the set screw (no. 7). The bearing rail (no. 8) is now located at a 90° angle to the cutting wire.
• Now insert the mains plug for the transformer (no. 4) into the power socket (230 V). The device is
operational when the On/Off switch (no. 9) on the transformer is switched on and illuminated.
Cutting variants
Straight cut (longitudinal and lateral cut):
• Position the foam board on the bearing rail (no. 8), then extract the cutting bow
no. 6), slide the foam board to the left up to the cutting dimension
(required board width - to be read on the measuring scale of the bearing rail
(no. 8)) and then guide the cutting bow gently through the foam board.
The board can be positioned vertically or horizontally on the bearing rail (no. 8)
to enable longitudinal or lateral cuts.
Longitudinal and lateral cut
Mitre cut
• Transfer the mitre angle from the object to the foam board using a sliding bevel
(art. no. 36 82 00 - not supplied); then unfold the mitre aid (no. 11),
position the board on the bearing rail (no. 8), loosen the set screws
(no. 2 and no. 5), then pivot the cutting bow (no. 6) to the right until the mitre
aid (no. 11) of the cutting bow (no. 6) corresponds with the marking on the foam
board. Retighten the upper and lower set screws (no. 2 and no. 5).
Mitre cut
Bevel cut
• Transfer the slope to the foam board using a sliding bevel (art. no. 36 82 00
- not supplied) and position the board on the bearing rail (no. 8).
Extract the cutting bow, loosen the set screw (no. 7) for the bearing rail and raise
the support (no. 8) with the foam board until the wire of the cutting bow (no. 6)
corresponds with the marking on the foam board. Retighten the set screw (no. 7)
and guide the cutting wire through the board.
