Cooling

■

Cooling

Two +43 VDC fans cool the DC power supplies. The fans are in a tray under the
electronics module.

The fans are monitored by the MPC microprocessor. If a fan fails, a Hall-effect
sensor detects the lack of motion in the fan blades, and an FSC is posted to the
FSC log. The machine may be configured to simultaneously notify the service
representative (through an email message) of the failure.

Cooling for the rack area is required if equipment is installed in this section of
the library.

Optional Cooling Fans

Optional cooling fans are available if the UPS or other equipment is installed in
the rack space of the library. These fans install on the rear door of the library
and are replaced as a single unit.
