Product Overview

This chapter provides an overview of the LSM, drive configurations, and
interfaces.

The 9710 library consists of:

•

An LSM that stores 224 to 588 tape cartridges

•

A cartridge access port (CAP) that stores up to 14 cartridges

•

9840, Digital Linear Tape (DLT), or 4890 drives

installed behind the LSM
