Axes as parameter sets
If you would like to use multiple axes as parameter sets, follow these steps:
Note that the same motor must be parameterized for all the axes.
9.3.2
Selecting axes
You can select an axis with signals
axis selector bit 0
and
axis selector bit 1
.
The following binary-coded assignment applies:
The
ax.disable
signal can be used to switch off all axes independently of the
state of the axis selectors.
The descriptions of the applications show which parameters to use to achieve
these signals. You can view the status of axis management in parameters
E84
and
E200
bit 3 to bit 5.
Setting up axes as parameter sets
1. In your project in DriveControlSuite, right click on the entry for the drive
controller that will use multiple axes.
2. In the context menu select
Show free axes
.
The free axes in addition to axis 1 appear below the drive controller.
3. Click on the free axis that will be used as an additional parameter set.
4. Click on the
Projecting
button in the bottom part of the window.
The projecting dialog for the axis appears.
5. On the
Properties
tab, activate the
Use axis
.
6. Switch to the
Application
tab.
7. Select the application that will be used on this axis.
8. Confirm the projecting dialog with OK.
9. Repeat steps 3 to 8 if you want to use additional axes as parameter sets.
You are using multiple axes as parameter sets.
Information
Switching axes is only possible under the following conditions:
- Enable is switched off.

E48 device control state
is not
5:fault
.
- No STO is active.
