Disconnect the battery male con-

nector

Working on a truck within potentially ex-

plosive areas can lead to explosions in

the surrounding atmosphere.
No work must be performed on the truck

in potentially explosive areas!

CAUTION

Risk of damage to the battery male connectors!
If the battery male connectors are disconnected

while the key switch is switched on (under load), an

arc will be produced. This can cause the contacts to

erode, which considerably shortens the service life of

the contacts.

–

Switch off the key switch before the battery male

connectors are disconnected.

–

Do not disconnect the battery male connectors

while the key switch is switched on, except in an

emergency.

NOTE

The battery male connectors are non-inter-

changeable.

●

The battery connectors are routed through

different grooves. Incorrect connection is

not possible.

●

The "positive" battery male connector is

red.

●

The "negative" battery male connector is

blue.

Park the truck safely and switch it off.

Open the battery door.
