10.4 Strain relief
During work, the strain relief
prevents any unintentional
disconnection of the electric cable and any
resulting damage to the mains connection
on the machine.
For this reason, the electric cable must be
fed through the strain relief.
● Connect the power cable. ( Ö 10.2)
● Form a loop in electric cable (1) and
guide it through opening (2).
● Then push the loop over hook (3) and
pull it tight.
10.5 Inserting the shredder box
● Insert shredder box (1) at the two
guides (2) and push in as far as it
will go.
● Turn locking knob (3) to the right as far
as it will go and secure the shredder
box.
10.6 Removing the shredder box
● Switch off the machine. ( Ö 10.8)
● Turn locking knob (1) to the left
as far as it will go.
● Pull out shredder box (2).
10.7 Switching on the garden shredder
GHE 140 L:
● Fold out the machine and lock in place.

GHE 135 L, GHE 140 L:
● Insert the shredder bag. ( Ö 10.5)
● Connect the machine to the mains.
(

On/off switch (1) with integrated locking
slide (2) prevents direct switching from
one rotational direction to the other.
Feed position
● Turn on/off switch (1) to the 0 position.
● Push locking slide (2) upwards.
● To start the motor, turn on/off switch (1)
to the right against spring pressure as
far as it will go to the
START position.
The motor starts.
● Release the rotary switch. This returns
automatically to the
I position. The
motor continues to run.
Reverse position
● Turn on/off switch (1) to the 0 position.
● Push locking slide (2) downwards.
● Turn on/off switch (1) to the left against
spring pressure as far as it will go to the
I position and hold. The motor runs.
10.8 Switching off the garden
shredder
● Set on/off switch (1) to position 0 .
The electric motor of the garden shredder
is switched off and braked automatically.
10.9 Recommencing operation
following a blockage
The garden shredder can only be
switched on with the shredder box
locked in place.
The garden shredder cannot be
operated without the shredder box.

Before switching the rotational
direction, switch off the machine
and wait for the blade roller to come
to a standstill.
The blade roller draws the
shredding material in and cuts
it.

The blade roller runs in
reverse and releases the
shredding material again.
The rotary switch must be held in
this position, as otherwise it
automatically returns to the centre
position (
0 position).
Risk of injury caused by ejected
shredding material. Keep your
hands and head away from the
feed opening. Do not look into the
machine!
