d) Adjusting the parking brake lever
The parking brake lever movement uses a spring (18), which can be adjusted to determine the
force exercised to engage the lever, and the capacity to maintain the “brake engaged” position.
Loosen the locknut (19) and adjust the nut (20) to
regulate the spring load:
• screwing it onto the rod (21) to decrease the
force required to engage and maintain the
“brake engaged” position;
• unscrewing it to achieve the opposite effect.
Remember to tighten the locknut (19) again after
completing the procedure.
5.2.2 Adjusting maximum operating speed
NOTE
The hydrostatic transmission units have
a predetermined range of use, given by the sum
of the maximum speeds in forward and reverse
gear
.
Therefore, any increase of either of the two pa-
rameters reduces the other, and vice versa.
Maximum forward gear speed is given by the dis-
tance between the holes on the two rods (1) and
(2) and has a factory default setting of 670 mm.
NOTE
When replacing one or both rods, check that this value is complied with on both sides, to
avoid calibration deviations between the two transmission units.
5.2.3 Replacing the shock absorber
The shock absorber is used to bring the corresponding lever back to the "neutral" position.
If it brings it back to quickly, it is necessary to replace the shock absorber.
NOTE
Always replace one shock absorber at a time.
