If the deviation exceeds 3%, the display will show error code 16 See
on page 72. If the same error code persists after further
readings, replace one of the potentiometers.
Differences in the elevation between the two posts can arise through
temperature differences, elastic compression and slight internal leakage in the
system. This can occur both when idle and during use. For the vehicle lift to
function correctly, it is essential that both guide pieces are at the same height.
The control system monitors and corrects any elevation differences that may
arise.
Correction only takes place when the vehicle lift is being raised or lowered, and
is done by adjusting one of the lowering valves. This works as follows:
• If one guide piece reaches a greater height than the other during raising,
this guide piece's lowering valve is opened. This guide piece then continues
to rise at a reduced speed until the two guide pieces are back at the same
height.
• If one guide piece reaches a lower height than the other during lowering,
this guide piece's lowering valve is partially closed. This guide piece then
continues to lower at a reduced speed until the two guide pieces are back at
the same height.
6.6 Adjustment
1. Bleed the lifting cylinders.
The cylinders have an SW10 nipple fitted on top for bleeding air. While
raising, turn the nipples round once to loosen them and wait until there is a
constant flow of oil without air bubbles. Then turn the nipples to the closed
position.
2. Raise the guide pieces to the highest elevation.
Use the programmable setting 65. See Code 65 - Safe limits on page 48
to raise the lift if there is a difference in elevation between the guide pieces
of more than 60 mm.
3. Adjust the guide pieces to the same elevation.
• Allow the vehicle lift to lower with the safety locks engaged.
• Check the elevation from the base plate to the guide pieces. This should
be more or less equal. If the difference is more than 50 mm, measures
must be taken to equalise the elevations. First raise the lift slightly to
release the safety locks, then allow either the master or slave to lower
