12.2.1.4 Carrier moves unexpectedly.

l

Make sure that the

LOAD

foot pedal is not being tapped by a foot or other object

inadvertently.

l

Make sure that the carrier controls on the display are not being touched
inadvertently.

l

Make sure that nothing is placed on the lid of the sonic irrigator, and that
nothing external is pulling or pushing on the carrier.

12.2.1.5 Basket(s) do not release from the carrier.

l

Make sure that BOTH catches on the carrier have dropped forwards to release
the basket. See

Removing Baskets from the Carrier

on page 41.

l

Make sure that instruments within the baskets have not moved, and are not
protruding through the basket(s) preventing unloading. Reposition any
instruments that have moved.

l

Make sure that luer hoses and connections have not detached, and are not
protruding through the basket(s) preventing unloading. Reposition any hoses
that appear to have moved.

l

Make sure that the carrier is in the correct position for the basket removal. The
carrier height can be adjusted using the carrier controls on the display. See

Raising and Lowering the Carrier Using the Display

on page 39.

12.2.1.6 Basket(s) do not dock into the carrier.

l

Make sure that BOTH metal spherical catch levers are up on either side of the
carrier and that BOTH basket catches have dropped. See

Step 3

l

Make sure that the basket orientation is
correct. The baskets can only dock with
the carrier with the basket when the
basket docking port is facing the carrier.
