Lift the body of the instrument up above the
basket, then pull the instrument shaft out of the
basket support.

If the instrument is attached to a single-site
hose or stapler adapter, turn the hose counter-
clockwise to release the hose clamp, then pull
the instrument out of the hose adapter.

Inspect any hose adapter removed in previous
step for ruptures or blockages. Discard the
hose or adapter if in any doubt about it's
condition.
