2.1

Intended Purpose of Equipment

The InnoWave PCF Sonic Irrigator is a high-pressure flushing ultrasonic washer

disinfector. It is intended to provide cleaning and intermediate- level thermal
disinfection of surgical instruments, including complex lumen/cannulated devices,
such as robotic surgical instruments.

Cleaning is achieved through a combination of sonic irrigation (ultrasonic
cavitation), and lumen flushing to remove debris from instruments placed in the
wash tank.

IMPORTANT

If this equipment is used in a manner NOT specified by manufacturer,
effectiveness and protection provided by equipment may be impaired.

IMPORTANT

This equipment has been validated for the cleaning and intermediate- level
thermal disinfection of surgical instruments and devices, including complex
lumen/cannulated surgical instrument and robotic surgical instruments.
Testing to validate cleaning and disinfection efficacy for a specific instrument
is the responsibility of the instrument manufacturer. Consult the instrument
manufacturer's instructions on cleaning and disinfection.

2.2

Equipment Features

The InnoWave PCF Sonic Irrigator has stand-alone sonic irrigation and a total tank
volume of 69 liters (18.2 US gal). A range of interchangeable instrument baskets
enable cleaning and processing of general, cannulated, and da Vinci® Si/S and
Xi/X robotic instruments. Cleaning capacity of the equipment is dependent upon the
basket used.

There are six wash programs; three wash programs are factory-set and locked, the
other three are editable by an operator with supervisor privileges. The factory-set
wash programs provide wash cycles for disinfection of robotic instruments, washing
of robotic instruments, and a decontamination cycle for the equipment before
service or shipping.
