Maintenance

Operator Manual

8.1  Preventive 

Maintenance

1.

Regular service and maintenance MUST be performed only by 
STERIS or a STERIS-trained technician. Any work performed by 
inexperienced or unqualified persons or the installation of 
unauthorized parts could cause personal injury, invalidate the 
warranty or result in costly damage.

2.

Under no circumstances should this equipment be serviced 
without the Maintenance Manual. The Maintenance Manual can 
be purchased by contacting STERIS Customer Service.

3.

A detailed Preventive Maintenance schedule and replacement 
parts list can be found in the Maintenance Manual. The 
Maintenance Manual can be purchased by contacting STERIS 
Customer Service.

4.

Preventive Maintenance is essential in keeping this equipment in 
optimal working condition. STERIS recommends establishing an 
annual maintenance agreement with STERIS service.

8.2  Inspect 

Suspension

Start at the highest point on the suspension, and work out toward the 
lightheads on each suspension arm. Verify proper operation of each 
braking point. If necessary, adjust each of the brakes in turn, with the 
goal of eliminating both binding and drift in the system. Refer to

Fully articulate monitor arm about each pivot point. Verify range of 
motion, ease of movement and that picture/display does not flicker 
on monitor. Verify monitor does not drift when positioned. 

8.3  Inspect Control 

Center

1.

Check control center operation by cycling it OFF and ON several 
times. 

2.

Cycle through command menus on display.

a.

Verify proper operation of all membrane switches (buttons).

b. Verify proper display and function of all command menus.

c.

Verify no fault icon displayed on Light Control Screen.

d. Verify no LED module or lamp out indicators displayed on 

light control screen.
