5.1 Routine Maintenance
Daily Maintenance Procedure: Cleaning
The following cleaning and disinfection procedure should be performed at least once per day. Usage may warrant
higher cleaning and disinfection frequencies: Refer to facility’s policies and practices related to reprocessing sink usage.

PERSONAL INJURY AND/OR EQUIPMENT DAMAGE HAZARD:

Unplug unit when cleaning lifting columns or cleaning near controller.
• Clean the reprocessing sink’s work surface from the backsplash, ledge, working surfaces, flexplates, etc. to each
drain hole located at bottom of bays, using a general-purpose cleaner (non-abrasive) for general stains and/or a
stainless-steel stain remover for stubborn stains.
• Using a damp cloth or sponge, apply cleaner in a back-and-forth motion, rubbing in same direction as surface
grain.
• Thoroughly wipe off cleaner.
• Sink is to be wiped down only.
• DO NOT use a sprayer to wash and/or rinse the sink because of electrical components. Use a damp cloth.
• Clean air pistol and water pistol surfaces with warm water and mild detergent. Wipe dry.
• Remove tip and flush out air pistol by running air through air pistol for 30 seconds immediately after cleaning.
• Remove the tip and flush out water pistol by running water through water pistol for 30 seconds immediately after
cleaning.
• Disinfect reprocessing sink work surface from backsplash to each drain hole in bottom of bays using appropriate
disinfectant as recommended per facility’s policies and practices.
