Finding Files
Searching by Metadata
Use the following procedure to search for files using metadata as the search criteria:
1. Display the home page search fields (page 5-4) or the Search tray (page 5-6).
2. Enter your search criteria in the metadata search fields (page 5-12).
• Select the appropriate metadata search operators (page 5-15).
• Use metadata wildcards (page 5-14) as necessary.
• Keep metadata search case sensitivity (page 5-13) in mind.
3. Select the results options (page 5-35) for displaying the results.
4. Click Search.
The files that match your search criteria are displayed on the search results page
(page 5-30).
Searching for Expired Content
By default, you can not search for expired content unless you have administrative rights to
Repository Manager; however, your system administrator may have permitted specific
users to view and work with expired content.
Expired Content Page
To display the Expired Content page, click the Content Management tray, and click
Expired Content.
Ends Finds items with the specified value
at the end of the metadata field. This
has the same effect as placing an
asterisk wildcard before the search
term.
When form is typed in the Title field,
the search returns all items with titles
that end with the word form, such as
form, perform, chloroform, etc.
