•  Turned fully counterclockwise:

0 sec. (OFF)

Turning the potentiometer to the

"Auto-HVAC mode" setting reduces

the sensitivity of the "Presence"

switching output. The contact only

closes after surveying the activity

of the space and then signaling

with a high degree of certainty that

multiple persons are present.

The stay-'ON' time remains active.

The switch-'ON' delay is

inactivated.

Reach Adjustment

Adjusts ultrasonic reach to specific requirements. Reach

can be adjusted by using the RC8 remote control

commissioning tool.

Provides basic illumination for the

selected stay-'ON' time after

occupancy time delay setting has

expired. The basic illumination

light intensity can be set from 10%

- 60% (with RC 8 in 10% steps) of

maximum light intensity. As soon

as a person is detected, the sensor

switches either to the specified

light intensity (constant-lighting

controller 'OFF') or adjusts to the

preselected brightness level

(constant-lighting controller 'ON').

When no movement is detected

and the occupancy time setting

has elapsed, the sensor dims light

levels back to basic brightness

after the stay-'ON' time (1 min. -

30 min.) has expired or the

daylight level exceeds the selected

level of brightness. The overall

time delay of occupancy time

delay and stay on time DIM before

'OFF' is not able to exceed 30

minutes. The setting of the

occupancy time delay is prior to

the stay on time DIM before 'OFF'.

The DIM-24 units have two time

delay setting (Occupied Time

Delay & Dim Before OFF Delay).

The “Occupied Time Delay” is the

time delay that retriggers each

time it detects motion and keeps

the light level at the occupant’s

selected comfort level so long as

the space is occupied. After no

motion is detected for the

duration of the “Occupied Time

Delay” the light level is dimmed to

the minimum level for the

duration of the “Dim Before OFF

Delay.” The cumulative sum of the

two time delays will never exceed

30 minutes before the lights will

be turned off.

Description

The RC 8 service remote (commissioning tool) gives the

installer the ability to set basic functions of the entire line

of Control Pro sensors via remote control. Each valid press

of a button is indicated by a blue LED flash on the sensor.

Functions

Reach setting (factory setting: 50 %)

Ultrasonic coverage can be selected from

minimum, 1/3, 2/3, or maximum by pressing

these buttons. Use this setting to increase or

decrease the coverage (detection range) of the

sensor.

Basic light level (10%) (factory setting: 30 min.)

Basic light level deactivated

Time setting CH 1 -

stay-'ON' time Switching contact 1 (factory setting: 15 min.)

Test mode. The test mode has the purpose of

checking for proper working order as well for

testing the detection zone. Irrespective of ambi-

ent light level and movement, the presence de-

tector activates the light to stay 'ON' for approx.

8 sec. Test mode has priority over all other set-

tings. All user-selected potentiometer settings

apply in normal mode. Test mode ends automati-

cally after 10 min.

IQ mode. Stay-'ON' time is self-learning and ad-

justs dynamically to user behaviour. The opti-

mum time is determined by means of a learning

algorithm. The shortest time is 5 min., the long-

est time 20 min.

Sets the light to stay 'ON' for a time of your own

choice. Each press of the button increments the

chosen time setting by 1 minute.

The period of time you want the light to stay

'ON' for after last detecting movement can be

set from between 5 min., 10 min. to 30 min. by

pressing these buttons.

Time setting CH 2 -

Stay-'ON' time Switching contact 2 (HVAC)

(factory setting: 30 min.)

The period of time you want light 'ON' for / to

stay 'ON' for after last detecting movement can

be set to either 5, 10, or 15 min. by pressing these

buttons.

Time setting CH 2 -

Delay before switching 'ON' (factory setting: 5 min)

Auto-HVAC mode ON/OFF

Automatic adjustment of switch-'ON' delay after

persons are present in the detection zone.

No time delay.

Time delay 10 min.

Light threshold setting (factory setting:

The chosen response threshold can be set from

approx. 10 – 1000 lux.

Using the remote control,

functions can be conveniently

activated from the floor.

Note: The pulse mode cannot be

overridden by the remote control.

Switch pulse mode 'OFF' manually.
