System Requirements
• HDMI enabled display devices (i.e. monitor, projector,
HDTV, etc.)
• HDMI enabled video source (i.e. computer, Blu-Ray
player, PVR/DVR, etc.)
• Available USB port
Installation
1. Make sure all displays and the video source device are
turned off before installing.
2. Connect an HDMI cable (not included) from each of the
video display devices (e.g. monitor, HDTV, etc) to the
numbered output HDMI connectors on the video splitter.
NOTE: Port 1 (OUT1) is the primary output so EDID
information will be taken from there. The capabilities of
the display on Port 1 will be applied to all other ports so be
careful not to exceed the capabilities of the other displays.
3. Connect the integrated HDMI cable from the video splitter
to the video source device (e.g. computer, PVR/DVR, etc).
If the cable is too short, an extension cable may be used.
4. Connect the included USB to power adapter cable from
the video splitter to an available USB port on the video
source device.
5. Turn on the display devices, followed by the video source.
The video output should be displayed on all connected
display devices.
Cascade Operation
The ST122HDMILE HDMI splitter can be cascaded/daisy-
chained with almost any other additional HDMI video
splitters for expanded capabilities, such as more ports and
reaching greater distances.
1. Make sure all displays and the video source device are
turned off before installing.
2. Connect the inputs of the second level HDMI
splitters to the “OUT1” and “OUT2” connectors on the
ST122HDMILE. If only connecting a single HDMI splitter,
make sure it is connected to “OUT1”.
3. Connect each of the video display devices (e.g. monitor,
HDTV, etc) to the output HDMI connectors on each of the
video splitters.
4. Power on the HDMI Video splitters, starting with the
ST122HDMILE, and then moving down the chain.
5. Turn on the display devices, followed by the video source.
The video output should be displayed on all connected
display devices.
NOTE: The more levels of HDMI splitters that are
cascaded, the greater the chances of the signal quality
becoming degraded.
