6.1.2 Mounting the Coverings

IP20 cover:

Snap the IP20 cover (1) onto the contact. Insert the designation plate (4) into the groove
of the IP20 cover (1).
Ex i cover:
▶
Snap the Ex i cover (3) onto the contact. Snap the Ex i lid (2) into the Ex i cover (3).
Insert the designation plate (4) into the groove of the Ex i lid (2).
6.2
Installation
6.2.1 Conductor Connection
▶
Ensure that the maximum permissible conductor temperatures and the maximum
permissible surface temperature are not exceeded by selecting suitable conductors for
use and a suitable means of running them.
▶
Ensure that conductors have the specified cross sections.
▶
Do not damage the conductor when stripping the insulation (e.g. by denting it).
▶
Guide the conductor insulation to the terminals
(for the stripping length, see "Technical data").
▶
Prevent mechanical damage to the conductor insulation caused by rubbing against
sharp-edged or movable metal parts.
▶
Observe the bend radii.
▶
Fit the core end sleeves properly using a suitable tool.
▶
Note the tightening torque for the clamping units.
