Fault 307: Burner Smoking / Pulsing (Page 2 of 2)
Causes
Troubleshooting
Fixes
2015 Machines
• Faulty O-ring in fuel gun
assembly.
• Remove fuel gun assembly and
inspect O-ring. See test 22
• Replace O-ring.
• Faulty high fire fuel
solenoid.
• Inspect high fire fuel solenoid
for leaks.
• Replace high fire fuel solenoid.
• Faulty / Latched CR-3 relay
(Panel 1).
• Check to see if it is manually
latched.
• Swap CR-3 relay with spare
120V relay in Panel 1.
• Faulty DY5 relay in relay
block (
Panel 2 bottom right).
• Check to see if the light is on in
low Fire.
• Replace DY5 relay.
Fault 308: Actuators/Valves Not Opening/Closing
Causes
Troubleshooting
Fixes
• Low battery voltage.
• Start the generator.
• Charge/Replace battery.
• Stuck valve causing blown
fuse(s).
• Remove actuator and manually
open/close valve.
• Check all fuses in
Panel 2 & 3.
• Fuse should light up with a red
LED if blown.
• Repair/Replace valve.
• Replace blown fuse(s).
• Faulty actuator.
• Test in “Manual Mode” to
see if actuator moves Menu >
Operations >
Manual Mode.
• Swap with similar actuator.
• Replace actuator.
• Actuator thermal protection.
• Disconnect and reconnect the
actuator wire harness to see if it
starts working again.
• Stiff valve may be causing the
actuator to overwork.
• Exercise/Repair/Replace the
valve (See Test 11).
• Faulty PLC analog output card 1.
• Feed water, all 4 steam valves,
blowdown, and louver actuator
run off this card. If all or most
of these are not working, the
output card has likely failed.
• Replace PLC analog output card
1.
• PLC not in “Run” mode (Panel
2).
• On the bottom right of the PLC ensure that the toggle switch is set to
“Run”.
• Faulty 12 V regulator.
• Replace 12 V regulator.
• Faulty wiring.
• Inspect the wiring for ground,
continuity, and proper voltage.
• Replace/Repair wiring.
