5.2. WIRED RECEIVER (WR)
WR is design to detect of signals of the eavesdropping devices transferring information on
power and low-current cables in the frequency range of 0.1-180 MHz.
Signal analysis is performing using graphical information (oscillogram or spectrogram) and
acoustic information (via headphones or the built-in speaker).
To connect to the power mains an adapter is used
(
Fig.1, item 7
)
.
To connect to low-current lines patch cords are used
(
Fig.1, item 19-21
)
.
WR is turn on in the Analyzer main menu
After that, it is necessary:
1.
Select the type of the tested cable: the power mains or low-current (Low Voltage) cable.
2.
Select test frequency range (0.1 - 60 MHz or 0.1 - 180 MHz).
5.2.1. CABLE TYPE SELECTION
After turning on WR, the menu for selecting the cable type is display on the screen (Fig. 40).
If the "Mains" menu item selected, a pair of wires 1-2 is connected. Switch control is blocking,
since only two wires are tested.
The adapter cable uses two wires connected to contacts #1 and #2 of RJ45 plug.
When testing low-current lines, in most cases, multi-wire cables are analyzed. Connecting
combinations of wires (in all modes) provides an integrated Electronic Switch.

By means of the
or
buttons, select cable type and press "ENTER". The menu for
selecting the frequency range will appear on the screen (Fig. 41).
