BATTERY INSERTION/
REPLACEMENT
1.
Remove the Battery Compartment Cover by
pressing the tab towards the cover and lifting it
off (Figure 2).
2.
Insert two (2) 3-Volt lithium batteries (CR2032)
with battery “+” in the up position.
3.
Replace the Battery Compartment Cover.
TO OPERATE SCALE
1.
Place scale on a flat surface in a sheltered area.
2.
Press “
ON/OFF
” button to zero (“
0”)
scale.
3.
Press “
Kg / Lb
” button to select between grams,
kilograms, ounces, or pounds and ounces.
4.
Scale is ready for use.
USING THE TARE FUNCTION
1.
Place scale on a flat surface in a sheltered area.
Press the “
ON/OFF
” button to turn the scale on.
2.
When “
0
” appears place the empty container
onto the weighing platform.
3.
Press “
TARE
” button and display will return to
zero, eliminating the weight of the container.
4.
Place object to be weighed into the container to
obtain the net weight.
5.
Press “
TARE
” button again to exit.
MANUAL POWER OFF
After use, turn the scale off by pressing the
“
ON/OFF
” button to prolong battery life.
AUTO POWER OFF FEATURE
The scale is also equipped with an “
AUTO
POWER OFF
” function. It will turn off in
approximately 120 seconds.
HOLD FUNCTION
1.
To temporarily retain weight. Place item on the
scale. Press the “
HOLD
” button once.
2.
Remove the item from the scale. The held
weight will remain on the scale display for 5
seconds.
CAUTION TO BE EXERCISED
1.
Place the scale in a sheltered area when in use.
Air movement on the scale may affect accuracy.
2.
Always place object onto the platform gently.
DO NOT
weigh objects exceeding the full
capacity as this may permanently damage scale.
An “
o-Ld
” message will appear on the display if
the scale is over-loaded.
3.
Replace with two (2) CR3032 lithium batteries
when battery symbol
appears (Figure 2).
CALIBRATION METHOD
1.
Calibration switch is located under “
VOID
”
sticker; use a small screw driver to slide switch,
inside scale to Cal mode.
2. A random number will be displayed. Press the
“
ON / OFF
” button to display “
3000gr
”.
3. Place a 3000 gram calibrated weight on scale.
4. Press “
ON / OFF
” button. The scale will
display “
CAL
” and then “
PASS
”.
NOTE:
If “
o-Ld
” appears; recalibrate.
5. Remove weight. Slide calibration switch out of
Cal mode.
6.
Place 3000 gram weight back on scale to verify
calibration.
