BATTERY INSERTION/
REPLACEMENT
1.
Turn
scale
over.
Remove
the
Battery
Compartment Cover by pressing the tab towards
the cover and lift it off.
2.
Place four (4) – 1.5-Volt batteries of AA size
into the battery compartment with correct
polarity.
3.
Replace the Battery Compartment Cover.
SCALE ASSEMBLY
1.
With the scale
OFF
, gently remove the top of
the scale by rotating the top counterclockwise.
2.
Insert perch mounting screw through the hole in
the surface plate. Place Loctite® on screw.
Thread screw into bottom of the perch and
tighten in place.
3.
Carefully align ridges in the platform top with
the notches in the weighing plate. Rotate
clockwise to lock top in place
TO OPERATE SCALE
1.
Place scale on a flat surface in a sheltered area.
2.
Press the “
ON/OFF
” button to turn the scale on.
3.
Press “
UNITS
” button to select ounces/grams.
Scale is ready for use. Display will read “
0
” for
grams or “
0.0
” for ounces.
USING THE TARE FUNCTION
1.
Place the scale on a flat surface in a sheltered
area.
2.
Press the “
ON/OFF
” button to turn the scale on.
3.
When “
0
” appears on the display, place the
empty container onto the weighing platform.
4.
Press the “
TARE
” button and the display will
return to zero, eliminating the weight of the
container.
5.
A “
o
” will appear in the lower left corner of the
display, which indicates that the
TARE
feature
is functioning.
6.
Place the object to be weighed into the container
and obtain its net weight.
MANUAL POWER OFF
After use, turn the scale off by pressing the
“
ON/OFF
” button to prolong battery life.
AUTO POWER OFF FEATURE
The scale is also equipped with an “
AUTO
POWER OFF
” function. The scale will turn off in
approximately 120 seconds.
UNIT CHANGE FUNCTION
The default unit of measure is “
g
”. You can change
the scale unit of measure between grams “
g
” and
ounces “
oz
”.

Press the “
ON/OFF
” button.
2.
Press the “
UNITS
” button to toggle between
grams and ounces.
