Getting Started:
1)Plug the book into either a USB wall adapter or computer for charging purposes.(While charging make sure the book
is in its "Off" position)
2)Once you have it plugged in and charging the yellow light will stay on, once fully charge the yellow light will be
turned off. To fully charge the spy book camera it will take about 20 hours to fully charge it.
Starting A Recording Continuously or With Motion:
1)First you will need to have inserted your micro SD card into the book camera. If you do not have a SD card you will
not be able to record until you do.
2)To start recording you will need to hold the power button for about 3
-
5 seconds until the blue LED comes on and
stays solid meaning it is in standby mode.
3)To record continuously you will hit the "REC" button next to the power button on the book (while you have it turned
on and in standby mode) from there the blue LED will flash several times then turn off. Once the LED has turned off it
is now on and recording continuously.
4)To record based off of motion you will need to hit the "MD" button next to the "REC" button on the book (while you
have it turned on and in standby mode) the blue LED should go red and flash several times. Once the red LED has
stopped flashing it is on and recording based off of motion. You can also press the MD button while the book is turned
off. This will automatically turn it on into MD mode.
Setting The Time and Date:
1)Make sure you have a SD card inserted into the book camera.
2)Plug the book camera into your computer via the USB cable.
3)Turn the book on while you have it plugged in. If you do not turn the book on it will not register on the computer and
will only charge.
4)Find the books file folder location through your removable disk drives, Once you are in the file folder you are going
to open up a file that says "SETTIME" (which should be pre
-
loaded onto the book)
5)Once you open up the "SETTIME" file you will need to update the time and date according to your time zone. For
example 8

17 at 1:15pm would be the following format 2017

Hour:Minutes:Seconds (keep in mind for the time it is based off of military time)
6)Once you have set the time and date you will need to save it, in the top left hand corner it should say "File" click that
and it should give you a few different drop downs and you will be looking for the "Save" option.
7)Once you have saved the file you can unplug the book from you computer and start recording. If you want to double
check to make sure the time and date was held simply make a few recordings and plug it back into the computer once
you have made the recordings and see what you get.
How to review information from your computer:
1)Plug the camera into your computer via the USB cable.
2)Open the file folder location for the device. (Windows: File explorer, under the removable disk drives)
(MAC:Finder, under the removable device)
3)Once you have located the file folder, open up the "Video" folder.
4)Inside of the "Video" folder is where your recordings will be located.
5)Double click the recording
How to Delete the Files on a PC:
1)Open the "Video" Folder
2)Right click on the file you wish to delete and select the "delete" option.
3)Files can only be deleted through either a Windows or MAC computer.
