POLARIZED PLUG
This appliance has a polarized plug (one blade is wider than the other). To reduce the risk of shock, this plug is
intended to fit only one way in a polarized outlet. If the plug does not fit fully in the outlet, reverse the plug. If it
still does not fit, contact a qualified electrician. DO NOT attempt to defeat this safety feature.
SHORT CORD INSTRUCTIONS
•
A short power supply cord should be used to reduce the risk resulting from becoming entangled in or
tripping over longer cord.
•
Extension cords may be used if care is exercised in their use and if they are of proper voltage and plug
compatibility.
•
If extension cord is used:
1. The marked electrical rating of the cord set or extension cord should be at least as great as the
electrical rating of the appliance; and
2. The cord should be arranged so that it will not drape over the countertop or tabletop where it can be
pulled on by children or tripped over unintentionally.
ELECTRIC POWER
If the electrical circuit is overloaded with other appliances, your appliance may not operate properly. It should be
operated on a separate electrical circuit from other appliances.
120V AC Power Supply Only
BEFORE EACH USE
HUMIDIFIER PLACEMENT
Place the humidifier on an elevated, non-metallic, lint-free, water-resistant, level surface at least 5 inches away
from walls, heat sources, and ledges.
DO NOT place on carpet, towel or fabrics. The fan vent is located on the bottom of the water basin. The fan vent
MUST NOT be obstructed.
DO NOT place the humidifier on a wooden surface or near furniture and electronics (laptop, cell phone, tablets,
etc) than can be damaged by moisture.
CHECK FAN VENT
The fan vent is located on the bottom of the humidifier. The purpose of the fan vent is to blow the cool mist
through the mist outlet. It is important that this part be kept clean and free of any obstructions. We recommend
checking the fan vent before using this item (i.e. free of lint, paper, etc.).
Do not place the humidifier on top of a towel or carpeted surface. The fan vent on the bottom may
become blocked and overheat the humidifier.
CAUTION: DO NOT operate the humidifier without water in the water tank
DO NOT plug or unplug the power cord with wet hands as electric shock may occur.
NOTE ON HUMIDITY LEVEL
•
It is best to keep the humidity level between 30~50 percent of relative humidity.
•
The comfort level of humidity will vary from room to room and with changing room conditions.
•
In cold weather, windows and sometimes walls may fog or develop frost from excessive indoor humidity. If
this occurs, reduce the mist intensity setting to avoid damage from condensed water drippings.
•
Too much humidity in the room may allow moisture to accumulate on surfaces where bacteria and fungi can
grow. Moisture that gathers may also damage furniture, walls and wallpaper.
•
To eliminate excessive humidity, especially in smaller rooms, leave the room door or window open and
adjust the mist intensity control accordingly.
